A

there’s close parallels with school and work in capitalist societies. this theory suggests skills and beliefs taught in schools relect those required by working class workers in low paid, low skilled jobs

what is and how does edication act as an ideological state apparatus

A

capitalists maintain in a dominant position - an ISA transmits ruling class ideology. education controls ideas beliefs and values so the RC maintain power. education reproduces class inequalities by failing working class pupils which also legitimises class inequalities.
