Q

Electronic Flight Instruments Systems (EFIS)

What does the display control panel do?

A
  • Control the format of the display on each of the electronic displays
  • Where inputs by the pilot are used by other equipment, data buses broadcast the pilot’s selections so that the pilot only needs to enter the selection once.

Q

Electronic Centralised Aircraft Monitor (ECAM)

What do the display units do?

A
  • Cathode ray tube or liquid crystal display types and interchangeable with EFID DUs
  • Mounted vertically
  • Upper DU provides engine / warning information
  • Lower DU provides system / status information in graphical or synoptic format
17
Q

Electronic Centralised Aircraft Monitor (ECAM)

What does the flight warning computer do?

A
  • Acquire the data needed to generate warning and caution messages associated with system fails

Warnings: The data is acquired directly from sensors and systems

Cautions: The data is acquired from SDACs

18
Q

Electronic Centralised Aircraft Monitor (ECAM)
