What are the trips of the EDG’s during normal operation?
"BIG C FLANGE" Bearing temperature high. Incomplete start. Generator over current. Cardox actuation. Fuel oil extreme low pressure. Lube oil pressure low. Air chest pressure high. Neutral ground over current. Generator phase differential. Electrical over speed. Manual.

What is the Tech. Spec. minimum level for the EDG fuel oil day tank?
101.4 gal indicated = 70 gal usable. This gives the diesel enough fuel to start and power the electric fuel transfer pumps to start supplying the diesel.
What is the Tech. Spec. minimum level for the EDG fuel oil storage tank?
46,000 gal. this gives one diesel enough fuel to run for 7 days at full load.
When will the worthington stop Knob work?
Only on loss of DC power.
What is the purpose of the EDG’s?
to supply an independent automatic emergency source of power to safeguard buses if normal and reserve power is lost.
What happens if you have the EDG’s in standby and you suffer a load shed followed by an SI?
A load shed occurs. The EDG’s start and the feeder breaker from the RCP bus to the T-bus opens. When the EDG reaches 95% speed and 80% voltage, the EDG output breaker closes. The load shed clears the T-Bus and loads on: CCW, ESW, MDAFP, and NESW.
Then an SI occurs.
Load conservation occurs and trips pumps already started. Then the following pumps start: CCP, SI, RHR, CCW, ESW, MDAFP, NESW.
If a Containment spray signal exists then the NESW pumps would trip off and the CTS pumps would start.
What happens if you have the EDG’s in standby and you suffer a load shed.

What does ESW do for the EDG?
ESW first cools the Air after coolers then the water flows through the lube oil coolers, then through the jacket water coolers. it is also backup supply for jacket water.
