Recurrent episodes of binge eating + sense of lack of control.
At least 1 episode a week for 3 months.
Unlike AN or Bulimia where there is significant F:M (nearly 10:1)m Binge eating disorder has what F:M?
2:1 (still female predominant, but much less so than other ED)
what is the race difference in Binge eating disorder?
same amongst races, unlike AN and Bulimia which has white predominance.
What are the three main psychotherapies utilized for binge eating disorder?
- CBT
- Interpersonal therapy
- DBT
What is the FDA approved trx for Binge Eating Disorder?
Lisdexamfetamine (vyvanse)
combine with CBT for best efficacy
