An enviroment that provides the things a specific organisim needs to live,grow and reproduce
Biotic factor
A living or once living part of an organism’s habitat.
Abiotic factor
A nonliving part of an organisim’s habitat.
Population
All the members of one species living in one area.
Community
All the different populations living together in a certain area.
Ecosystem
A community of organisims that live together in the same area, along with their nonliving enviroment.
Limiting factor
An enviromental factor that causes a population to deacrease in size.
Producer
An organisim that can make its own food.
Consumer
An organisim that gets energy by consuming other organisims.
Decomposer
An organisim that gets energy by breaking down biotic waste and dead organisims and returns raw materials to the soil and water.
Food chain
The seiries of events in a ecosystem in wich organisims transfer energy by eating or being eaten.
Resources
Food, water, shelter, or a specific thing a organisim needs to grow.
Density
The number of individuals in a area of a specific size.
Food web
Consits of many overlapping food chains in a ecosystem.
