What is meant by ecosystems?
An ecosystem is a living community of plants and animals and the environment they live in.
What are ecosystems made up of?
Plants, animals and environments ( living + non living things)
What do all food chains start with?
Green plant (producers)
What does a food chain show?
A food chain shows the flow of energy from plants to animals.
Why are decomposers important for a food chain.
They are the recyclers of the ecosystem.

What is peat?
Peat is a type of soil formed from lots of dead plants.
Why are peat bogs at risks?
These valuable wetlands have been drained, burnt, built on, farmed and dug up for fuel and garden compost.
List 3 things we can do to save the peat bogs.
Protect them from being disturbed.
Buy peat free products.
Create protected parks.
What do peat bogs do?
Peat bogs soak up Carbon dioxide (CO2) which helps prevent the earth from climate change.
