Consumers
A consumer is an animal that eats other plants and animals to survive in their habitats
Producers
A producer is something that makes its own food.
Predator
A predator is an animal that hunts other animals for food.
Prey
Prey is an animal hunted by other animals or predators
Species
A group of organisms so similar to each other that they can mate and have offspring and that offspring can have offspring
Population
A group of the same organisms that live in the same area
Community
A group of different populations that live together and interact in an environment
Biodiversity
The variety of species that exists in an environment
Bacteria fixing
The process in which microorganisms transform atmospheric nitrogen into fixed nitrogen
Lighting fixing
Part of the nitrogen cycle where lightning fixes atmospheric nitrogen and turns it into fixed nitrogen
Biosphere
The part of the earth where life can exist
Food chain
The food chain shows how each living thing gets its food
Food web
That shows the feeding relationships among living things this shows many producers and all the feeding relationships
Habitat
A habitat is where a living thing lives
Biome
A biome is a large area that have the same climate and vegetation and may contain ecosystems
Ecosystem
An ecosystem is all the living things and non living things in an area that interact with each other
Niche
A niche is a place or roll that an organism plays in its habitat
Symbiosis
The interaction between two different species that live close together.
Mutualism
Is a relationship between two species which both benefit from the relationship
Commensalism
Is a relationship between two species of plant or animal in which one lives with, on, or in the other without damage to either
Parasitism
A relationship in which one organism benefits at the hosts expense
