ecology: biotic and abiotic factors Flashcards
what does biotic factors mean
living factors which can affect the size of a population
what does abiotic factors mean
non living factors which can affect the population size
name all 8 abiotic factors
7 of them have more than one word. And 2 of them talk about intensity
wind intensity, light intensity, moisture levels, carbon dioxide concentration, soil Ph, oxygen dissolved in water, temperature, minerals ions in soil
don’t really have to be THAT clear on the terms just need the basics
name the 4 biotic factors
3 of the have more than 1word
availaibility of food, new predators, competition, new pathogens
pathogens are germs, tiny oganisms that cause illnesses
what does an acorn, squirrel and fox show??
food chain, which shows the feeding relationship.
the arrow is showing the direction of energy transferring
