A self-sustaining life-supporting environment
Habitat
The area within an ecosystem where an organism lives
Population
A group of organisms of the same species
Community
All the populations of different species coexisting in a particular ecosystem at a particular time
Niche
The way an organism uses its environment and its role in the community
Abiotic
Non-living elements of the habitats which affect the ability of organisms to survive (climate, topography, edaphic factors, pollution, catastrophes)
Biotic
Living elements of the habitat which affect the ability of organisms to survive (competition, predation, parasitism, mutualism)
Anthropogenic
Factors arising from human activity (biotic/abiotic) (deforestation)
