What is self pollination
Pollen transferred from the anther to the stigma of the same plant

What is cross pollination?
Pollen transferred from the anther to the stigma of another plant.
What does the anther do?
Produces pollen
What does the stigma do?
Collects pollen
What does the ovum do?
Produces eggs

Why do plants disperse their seeds?
So that they don’t all grow in the same place, or else they will have to complete for all four things
What are the four methods of seed dispersal?
Water, animals, wind and self propelled
What does an identification key do?
Allows you to identify organisms based on their characteristics by answering questions about them
What is a predators job?
To hunt and catch and kill animals for food(e.g lions, alligators, and wasps
What is a preys job?
Animals that are hunted catch and killed and eaten by another species for food(e.g a dear)
What is sampling?
Collecting observations or measurements from a small area which is a representative of a larger area
What is abundance?
A number of certain species present
What is distribution?
Where organisms are found
