Echo and imaging -Silverstein Flashcards
What does delayed enhancement show?
abnormal cardiac tissue
INFARCT
Which occluded vessel is commonly associated with papillary mm rupture?
RCA
posteromedial papillary mm is most common
What is the earliest form of diastolic dysfunction on echo?
abnormal relaxation
if the Tricuspid Regurgitation jet is higher than normal in an echo, what does this indicate?
that the right ventricular P is high
which then means that where the right ventricle is trying to flow is ALSO high==> indicates PULMONARY ARTERY HTN
What will an EKG of right heart failure show?
S wave in I
Q and inverted T wave in III
–> could be from a PE
also elevated JVD
What is septal bounce associated with? What will the Y descent look like?
constrictive pericarditis
–> likely from TB or malignancy
steep Y descent
