Sinus rhythm
A
Regular, narrow complex rhythm. Each QRS preceded by an upright P wave.
Rate of 60-100 bpm.

Sinus bradycardia
A
Regular, narrow complex rhythm. Each QRS preceded by an upright P wave.
Rate of less than 60 bpm.

Sinus tachycardia
A
Regular, narrow complex rhythm. Each QRS preceded by an upright P wave.
Rate of more than 100 bpm in adults, or above normal range for children.

Atrial Fibrillation
A
Irregularly irregular rhythm with no P waves and a variable ventricular rate.
Fibrillatory waves can be either fine (<0.5mm) or coarse (>0.5mm).
Disorganised atrial electrical activity.

Paroxysmal AF
A
Self terminating episode of atrial fibrillation lasting less than 7 days.
