ECG Questions Flashcards
https://www.youtube.com/user/rrtheriault/videos ^^^^ this is where I got everything

junctional rhythm is where the heartbeat originates from the AV node or His Bundle

if the ventricle does not receive triggering signals at a rate high enough from either the SA node or the AV node, the ventricular myocardium itself becomes the pacemaker

2nd Degree Type I (aka Mobitz I or Wenckebach) Heart Block
Irregular rhythm (grouped QRS’s)
P-R interval: progressive lengthening until beat is dropped

Sinus Bradycardia
Regular rhythm, heart rate < 60
There is a P wave before QRS and QRS after P wave

Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia
Torsades de Pointes “Twisting of the Points”
This is a polymorphic Vtach in that the shape of the QRS
complexes varies significantly.

PR interval is prolonged
The normal PR interval is between 120 – 200 ms (0.12-0.20s) in duration (three to five small squares)

What does right axis deviation look like?

How do you tell if right or left deviation in an ECG?

Describe axis deviation

normal axis deviation

determine axis deviation

left axis deviation

cardiac axis?

extreme right axis deviation

diagnose and explain

RSR’ pattern in lead V1 and deep, wide S waves in lead V6
wide QRS

diagnose and why

Most prominent signs in
Right VS left bundle branch block
right= RSR’ in V1
left= M pattern in V6
