How often must a vessel beset in ice report? What happens if it doesn’t report as required?
A
Every 4 hours. If they do not report it is assumed they no longer require assistance.

A
All high level VTS zones and Ungava Bay.

A
Area where TP 15163 are enforced during ice season.
Many ships required to carry ice advisors.

What vessels need to report to ECAREG?
A
- > 500 tons GT
- Carrying dangerous cargo ( or towing or pushing vessel with dangerous cargo)
- towing or pushing vessel that combine to 500 tons GT or more

A
South of 60 deg N, east of 66 deg W, not including Ungava Bay or any high level VTS zones.
