A

Disinhibition is when a dietary restrainer looses control over their eating often comes in times of emotional distress or when they are under the influence of a substance

Define counter regulation

A

Counter regulation is when a dietary restrainer eats a small portion past their dietary cognitive rules therefore decides to go all out it is a sort of “what the hell” effect.

What are the negative and positive effects of dietary restraint?

A

Biological- higher bmi, more weight cycling, Lower metabolism ability, tend to have a higher sensitivity to food and a lower ability to detect if they are full

Psychological - negative> positive, positive is generally when they are successful in their dietary restraint, negative is when they are not, tend to take it harder.
