Inability to focus, acute development, altered LOC

What are some signs and symptoms of ADHD?
Highly distractible, hyperactivity, restlessness, impulsivity, irritability
What is the medication that is given for alcohol withdrawal?
Disulfiram
What are some contraindications to Disulfuram?
No alcohol whatsoever: aftershave, vanilla extract, hand sanitizer
For patients with alcohol and opioid withdrawal, what would the nurse expect to give?
Naltrexone
What can be expected to be given to a patient with a 14 on the CIWA scale?
Libirum, benzodiazepenes
If a patient who usually ingests a lot of caffeine misses a dose what would be expected?
Irritability

Headache
When should alcohol withdrawal symptoms be expected?
48-72 hours: Friday midnight-> check on sunday midnight to monday midnight
How should a nurse approach a student with autism?
Face to Face and Eye contact
What are the nursing interventions for methylphenidate?
Do not leave for more than 9 hours. Make sure to flush.
When is the intermediate medication supposed to be active?
4-8 hours
