Q

How does the greenhouse effect take place?

A
  1. Electromagnetic radiation comes from the sun and hits Earths surface
    2.Short wavelength radiation is absorbed
  2. Long wavelengths radiation reflected back out into space ( Infrared )
  3. Infrared radiation is absorbed by greenhouse gases and reflected back
  4. The Earth warms up

Q

What process increases greenhouse gas levels

A
  1. Burning of fossil fuels - Release Co2
  2. Deforestation - Release Co2 / prevents abosorbtion of co2.
  3. Farming ( rice feilds) - Release CH4
  4. Catle during digestion - Release CH4
