Meteorology
The study of the processes and phenomena of the atmosphere, especially as a means of forecasting the weather.
Paleontology
The scientific study of life in geologic past, especially through the study of animal and plant fossils.
Astronomy
The brach of science that deals with celestial objects, space, and the physical universe as a whole.
Seismology
Is the scientific study of earthquakes.
Direct relationship
A relationship between two variables such that both either increase or decrease together.
Inverse relationship
A relationship between two variables such that when one increase that the other decrease and vice versa
Cyclic
Events which occur again and again in a regular repeating pattern.
Dynamic equilibrium
A system in which the changes that are occurring are equal and opposite (balanced)
Observation
Information directly obtained by using one or more of the five senses.
Inference
A conclusion based on observations
Classification
Grouping things according to common characteristics, classifications are based on observations
Volume
The amount of space occupied by an object or substance
Weight
The force of gravitational attraction between two objects
Mass
A measure of the amount of matter in an object
Geology
The study of solid earth, the rocks of which it is composed, and the processes by which they change.
