Why did it take long to write down the gospels?
- The followers kept the message of God alive by preaching it to others
- Only when they got old, they wrote it down so that the information about Jesus was safe
- Jesus’ followers thought that Jesus would arrive while they were alive, when they realised this wouldn’t happen they made a more permanent record about Jesus
