why was elizabethan england unlike any other town in the country?
there was a bigger population, richer, larger area.
why was London Bridge so special?
it was huge (800 feet long, 20 feet wide), it was ana ancient structure and it had so many things like shops etc.
what was London the centre of?
culture, international trade, government, law.
how did the population change over Elizabeth’s reign? why was that no necessarily a good thing?
70,000 people to 200,000 people. however it meant that it was over crowded and very unsanitary.
why was London the centre of international trade? what could you buy in London?
the river Thames and its port. you could buy exotic spices, soap, marmalade and sugar etc.
what disease broke out in 1563? ho wmany people died?
the plague. 17,000 londoners died.
