What happens to a women’s ovaries when in her 40’s?
A
Her ovaries gradually begin to make less oestrogen, which means the ovaries stop producing an egg each month (periods) and this stage is usually referred to as the perimenopause transition.

What are symptoms of the perimenopause?
A
- Hot flushes and night sweats
- Breast tenderness
- Loss of libido (lower sex drive)
- Fatigue
- Irregular or heavy periods
- Vaginal dryness/discomfort during sex
- Mood swings

- Urine leakage when coughing or sneezing and urinary urgency

A
When someone is physically at their fittest.
