how is sound interpreted by the ear?

A
  1. sound waves are picked up by the ear lobe and send them to the ear cannel.
  2. the sound waves travel aong the ear canal to ear drum.
  3. the vibrations travel through the ossicles.
  4. liquid inside the cochlea vibrate and the auditory nerve detects these vibrations and turns them into an electrical signal
  5. this signal is transmitted by to the brain.
