EAB 4798 test 1 Flashcards
Reinforcement
A procedure in which a stimulus is either presented or remove contingent upon response and there is an increase in the probability of that response.
Punishment
A procedure in which a stimulus is either presented or remove contingent upon response and there is a decrease in the probability of the response.
Positive Reinforcement
A procedure in which a stimulus is presented contingent upon response and there is an increase in the probability of that response
Negative Reinforcement
A procedure in which a stimulus is removed contingent upon response and there is an increase in the probability of that response
Positive Punishment
A procedure in which a stimulus is presented contingent upon response and there is a decrease in the probability of that response
Negative Punishment
A procedure in which a stimulus is removed contingent upon the response and there is a decrease in the probability of that response
Reinforcer
A stimulus that presented contingent upon a response increases the probability of that response and when remove contingent upon a response decreases the probability of that response
Aversive
A stimulus that when presented contingent upon a response decreases the probability of that response and when remove contingent upon a response increases the probability of that response
Extinction
A procedure in which previously reinforced response is no longer reinforced and there’s a decrease in the probability of that response
