A certain number of Masons duly assembled, with the Holy Bible, Square, and compasses, and a charter, kr warrant wmpowering them to work.
Where did our ancient brethren usually meet
On a High hill or in a low valley
Why so did they meet in these places
To better to observe the approach of cowans, or eavesdroppers, ascending or desecnding
What is the form and covering of a Lodge
An oblong square, extnding from east to west, between the north and south, from the earth to the heavens, and from the surface to the centre.

Three great pillars, constituting Wisdom, Strength, and Beauty

The Holy Bible, Square, and Compasses
To whom are they dedicated
The Bible is dedicatd to God, the quare to the Master, and the compasses to the craft.
How many lights has a Lodge and how are they situated
East,West and the South
How many Jewels has a Lodge
Six: three movable and three immovable
What are the movable Jewels
The rough ashler, the perfect ashler and the trestle-board
What are the three immovable jewels
The square, level and plumb
How should a Lodge be situated
