Malicious software is software created to steal data gaining access to IT systems

A virus is a form of malware and it is designed to harm your IT system

To phish is to attempt to gain information by doing as someone else

Spyware is software that aims to gather information about a person or organisation

MASSIVE threat. Servers being down for even a short period of time can be extremely damaging to its reputation

It monitors the network traffic and decides whether or not to let the traffic in or out

1990, it protects users from hackers, theft and cyber bullying
What is the data protection act and when was it passed?
It protects any data stored on a computer passed in 1998
