site-physcial characteristics of a place

vertical lines drawn between north and south poles. East or west of prime mediridan. 0-180*
What are the different types of regions?
- formal-measurable borders/data, and has very specific characterisitcs
- Functional/nodal- A hub like a highway
- Perceptual- human attitude and feelings of a place

2. time- amount of time taken to travel
3. pshychological- the way people percieve distance.

- Thematic-maps that show specific data (colors)
