A

mainly genetics - autosomal dominant , variable penetration
diabetes mellitus
alcohol/cirrhosis

what is the pathophysiology?

A

palmar fascia gets thicker and fibrosed until 4th and 5th fingers permanently flexed
bands are primarily collagen type III

A

painless, gradual progression
flexor contracture affecting 4th and 5th fingers

A

palpate cords
MCP/PIP joint involvement - measure angles
table top test - inability to flatten hand
