No it is benign and it is NOT a form of pre-malignancy

Growths from the ductal epithelium

A
It is the most common cause of nipple discharge in women over 40

Symptoms (2)
A
Small lump, sticky/blood stained discharge

Signs (1)
A
Palpable mass that is elongated along the lumen of a duct

Investigations (3)
A
Triple Assessment: Breast exam, mammogram, fine needle aspiration

Treatment (2)
A
Microdochectomy (removal of the affected duct), Total Duct Excision
