When does a Muslim surrender himself to Allah?
When he’s praying and he has faith in Allah’s power while recognizing his own helplessness
What is supplication and what do we get from it?
Supplication is worship and there is a great reward for it.
What will the person who prays to Allah get from it?
The doors of mercy open for him and his prayers are accepted.
State what will be given to the person who supplicates?
- His supplications are accepted.
- He will be given his reward in the hereafter.

Whose supplications are more readily accepted?
- A traveller
- A ruler
- A fasting man
- A person who is ill
- Parents for their children
- A person who is oppressed
- A pilgrim in the course of his journey
- A warrior fighting in the way of Allah
- A person who is over-whelmed with sorrow and grief
- Prayer of a Muslim for another Muslim in his absence.
Whose supplications may not be accepted?
A person who eats unlawful things and earning, seeks to commit sins, gain unlawful things through prayers and a person who is tired of supplication without response.
List the etiquettes of supplication.
- Both hands should be raised to the shoulders and
face the Qiblah - He should seek forgiveness of Allah before praying
- He should praise Allah and send blessings on
Prophet (p.b.u.h) - He should first pray for himself then for others
- It is sunnah to repeat the prayer three times
- He should avoid hastiness for acceptance of prayers
- He should pray with attention and humility
- His voice shouldn’t be too loud or too low
- He should pray in suitable moments with firm belief that his prayers will be answered
