Shrimping is a technic for the purpose of evading a side mount and putting your opponent into guard. this is a fundamental move in ground DTs. To preform the shrimping the person is laying on their back, then with both feet planted close to their butt they turn on their side and extend their legs; this will push the lower half of their body towards there head.
