What is primary processing
Primary processing is the conversion of raw materials into food commodities – for example, milling wheat into flour.
What is secondary processing
when the primary product is changed to another product – for example, turning wheat flour into bread.
What is the bran on a peice of grain
The tough outer skin of the skin that protects the grain and gives you fibre (helps digestive system)

The largest part of the centre which provides the starch (gives the long lasting energy

What is the difference between white and wholemeal bread
White bread is only made of endosperm with the bran and germ removed while wholemeal has endosperm,germ and bran
How does a microwave work
The food in the microwave is cooked by radiation electricity is converted into electromagnetic waves in the magnetron the waves can penetrate food to a depth of 3-5cm the waves move around using a fan called the wave guide
