DSP[5] Flashcards
is a mathematical operation used to
express the relation between input and output of
an LTI system.
Convolution
There are two types of convolutions:
- Continuous convolution
- Discrete convolution
is reverse process to
convolution widely used in signal and image
processing.
Deconvolution
Convolution of two causal sequences is
Causal
Convolution of two anti causal sequences is
Anti causal
Convolution of two unequal length rectangles
results a
Trapezium
Convolution of two equal length rectangles
results a
Triangle
A function convoluted itself is
equal to
integration of that function.
Is valid for discrete fourier transform.
Periodic Convolution
Are the two basic operations that are similar to each other
Correlation and Convolution
These operstions have two key features:
- shift-invariant
- linear
It is a measure of similarity between signals and found using process similar to convolution. It is used to compare to signals.
Correlation
Two types of correlation
- Cross Correlation
- Auto Correlation
It gives a measure of similarity a sequence and its shifted version.
Auto Correlation
Practice Solving in Papers.
