Borderline Personality disorder
A
A pattern of instability of interpersonal relationships, self-image, and affects marked by impulsivity
- Onset is beginning of early adulthood
9 criteria
- Frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment
- Pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships alternating extremes of idealization and devaluation
- Identity disturbance
- Impulsivity = two areas that are potentially damaging
- Recurrent suicidal behaviour
- Affective instability due to marked reactivity of mood
- Chronic feelings of emptiness
- Inappropriate intense anger or difficulty controlling anger
- Stress related paranoid ideation of dissociative symptoms

A
A. Uninterrupted period of illness with major mood episode (depressive or manic) = criteria A of schizophrenia
B. Delusions or hallucinations for 2 or more weeks
