2 weeks of symptoms,
Bereavement now accepted
Persistent Depressive Disorder: criteria
Must have both:
1. Chronic Major Depressive Disorder
2. and previous Dysthmic Disorder
(Emphasis on chronology, NOT severity, can also be dysthymic only, and/or Major Depressive Disorder)
Panic disorder
vs
Panic Attack
Panic disorder is a standard alone;
Panic Attack is a modifier that can be added to ANY DSM 5 condition
Agoraphobia
Fear of 2 or more situations or circumstances
GAD: Criteria
Adults: need 3 symptoms
Children: need 1 symptom
Symptoms: sleeplessness, irritability, exhausted, Restlessness, fatigue, etc
Obessive/ion:
Recurrent thoughts
Compulsion/ive
Repetitive behavior
Reactive Attachment Disorder
Child is severely checked out, a consequence of extreme neglect/abuse at a young age
Disingibited Social Engagement
Kid approaches anybody and tries to attach, no inhibitions
ASD (Acute Stress Disorder)
PTSD before 30 days
Adjustment Disorder
Within 3 months of stressor
Somatic Symptom Disorder
Maladaptive thoughts/behaviors/feelings
WITH
Somatic manifestations
