Amphetamines
-they come in pills or tablets
-Pumps up heart rate, breathing, blood pressure.
-Causes blurred vision, headaches, hallucinations, paranoia
Cocaine & crack
-cocaine is a powder, crack is made from cocaine and comes in pellets.
-Quick feeling of power.
-Pumps up heart rate, breathing rate, blood pressure, and body temperature.
-Injecting cocaine can cause HIV/AIDS or hepatitis b.
-First time users can stop breathing, have fatal heart attacks, and can die.
DXMs
-cough and cold medicine contains DXM
-a couple symptoms from taking large doses are, fever, nausea, vomiting, headache, numbness of fingers and toes, red face, dry/itchy skin, liver damage, brain damage, and death.
Depressants
-capsules or tablets
-they calm nerves and relax muscles
-Large doses cause confusion, slurred speech, and lack of coordination.
-Very large doses can cause one to stop breathing, resulting in death.
Ecstasy
-comes in powder, tablets, or capsules
-Makes all emotions much more intense.
-Can cause cramps, chills, confusion, depression, and anxiety
-Causes organ damage or even death.
GHB
-comes in liquid form
-Causes euphoric (high) and hallucinogenic effects
-can cause nausea, breathing problems, decreased heart rate, and seizures
-can also cause a coma and one to stop breathing, resulting in death
Heroin
-can come in powder or a tarlike substance and you can inject it
-cause euphoric(high) feelings, followed by drowsiness, and nausea
-can also cause chronic constipation, dry skin, and breathing problems
-injecting can cause HIV/AIDS, hepatitis b or C, and bacterial endocarditis
Inhalants
-sniffed/huffed and include household products
-cause users to be giddy and confused
-long time users get nosebleeds, headaches, and loss of hearing and sense of smell
-using it even once can kill you
Ketamine
-comes in powder
-causes you to be delirious, hallucinate, lose sense of time and reality
-causes you to be nauseated, vomiting, problems w/ thinking or memory
-cause movement problems, body numbness, slowed breathing
-can stop breathing, resulting in death
LSD
-licked or sucked off blotting paper
-causes hallucinations, panic attacks, confusion, and depression
-can cause sleeplessness, increased heart rate, and coma
Marijuana
-usually smoked or brewed as tea
-effects mood and coordination
-elevates heart rate and blood pressure
- cause you to have red eyes, hallucinations, be paranoid, and have frequent colds
Edibles
-they are cannabis infused foods and drinks
-can cause nausea, spasms, rapid heart and breathing rate, panic attacks, mood swings, hallucinations, delirium
Methamphetamine
-swallowed, snorted, injected, or smoked
-cause euphoric rush, paranoia, and hallucinations
-causes intense delusions
- can cause violent or aggressive behaviour, and brain damage
Rohypnol
-it’s swallowed
-it’s and anti-anxiety medication
-causes blood pressure to drop, memory loss, drowsiness, dizziness, and upset stomach
- causes users to be overly excited and aggressive
Steroids
-swallowed or injected and similar to hormones
-causes male pattern baldness, cysts, acne, and oily hair & skin
-affects mood
-sharing needles can give you HIV/AIDS and hepatitis b
-causes heart attack and stroke
Fentanyl
-injected, snorted, smoked or swallowed
-can cause, extreme happiness, drowsiness, nausea, confusion, and constipation
