Denosumab
A
Monoclonal antibody that works like the endogenous osteoprotegerin in binding to RANK-L ligand so that it does not bind to RANK receptors

- They easily accumulate in the bone because they have a high affinity for calcium
- Alendronate – most prescribed
- 2 phosphonate groups
- They target osteoclasts and cause a variety of toxic effects on these cells, so that they can apoptosis
