What is a Recreational drug?
A drug taken for pleasure.
Name three legal Recreational drugs?
Tobacco, Alcohol, Caffeine .
Name three illegal Recreational drugs?
Cannabis, Heroin, Ecstasy .
What do depressants do to the brain and body?
Depressants slow down the signals to the brain and the nerves.
What do stimulates do to the body?
Stimulates speed up the messages for the brain and the nerves.
Name three drugs that can be prescribed by a doctor?
Paracetamol, carpel, ibuprofen.
What different classes are illegal drugs split into?
Class A, Class B, Class C.
What is the scientific name for weed?
Marijuana.
What is the top three most addictive drugs?
Heroin, Alcohol and cocaine .
What organ can all drugs damage?
The liver.
If someone was caught dealing class A drugs how long would the dealer spend in jail and what would be the fine limit?
You can spend up to life in prison and / or an unlimited fine.
If you were caught in possession of a class C drug what would be your jail sentence or fine limit?
You can spend up to two years in jail and / or an unlimited fine.
Why are drugs addictive?
When you take drugs constantly your body gets used to the substance so if you take that away your body will crave the substance that you have been taking.
How would police know if you are a dealer or just drugs for themselves?
It depends on the amount you have as if there was a small amount of drugs found in a car it would not be classified as being a dealer however if you were caught with a bunker full of it that would be different.
Why do people take drugs?
Sometimes people take drugs for a relief of lots of different reasons such as depression, anxiety, escapism and recreation. This then leads to people getting addicted because they take too much.
