—-respiratory depression and decreased loc MAY BE FATAL IF MIXED W/ Alcohol

Name withdrawl manifestations of sedatives/Hypnotics?
Anxiety insomnia diaphoresis hypertension possible psychotic reactions hand tremors nausea or vomiting hallucinations or illusions and seizures
Heroin morphine Hydromorphone (Dilaudid)can be injected smoked and inhaled (White, Black, tarry)
Opioiod Drug abuse
A rush of Euphoria (extreme well-being), relief from PAIN
Opioids
Slurred speech, impaired memory pupil changes, DECREASED RR, LOC and that can lead to death. NEED to be checked for level of consciousness and also CNS depression maladaptive behavioral/psychological changes, impaired judgment or social functioning
Opioid intoxication effects
Sweating and rhinorrhea progressing to piloerection which is goosebumps tremors and irritability followed by SEVERE WEAKNESS diarrhea fever insomnia pupil dilation n/v and PAIN in MUSCLES, BONES and MUSCLE SPASMS
