What are over the counter drugs?
Drugs that can be purchased from the pharmacy or supermarket without a prescription. Eg: Calpol, Paracetamol.
What is doctor shopping?
Visiting several doctors to obtain multiple prescriptions.
What are social drugs?
Legal drugs, but they can be addictive. Eg: Alcohol, Caffeine.
What are illegal drugs?
Illegal to possess, sell, or use. Put into groups according to their addictivness & harm.
Examples of drugs in each of the groups.
Group A: Heroin.
Group B: Cannabis.
Group C: Anabolic steroids.

How does punishment help addiction.
Shows right from wrong. - Justice.
Gives them time to reflect.
No access to drugs.
Acts as a deterrent.
Why people may take drugs.
- Get rid of pain.
- Escapism.
- Mental illness - depression.
- Peer pressure.
- Fun.
Reasons for not taking drugs.
- Long term physical and mental effects.
- Become reliant on the pain relief.
- Unsafe.
- Make injury worse.

A community.

Something to focus on.
Christian view FOR intoxication
Intoxicate us and prevent us from communicating with God.
Christian view AGAINST intoxication.
Do not become intoxicated it leads us away from God.
Christian against harming our bodies with drugs.
Our bodies are the temple of the holy spirit.
