A

Inhibits TPO (thyroid peroxidase). Can be used to treat thyroid storm; presumably could be used for any hyperthyroid condition

A

Acute-only treatment for thyroid storm. Toxic if used long term

Thiazolinediones (TZD)

A

PPARγ agonists. Used to treat insulin resistance. Induces proliferation of adipocytes; more places for insulin (and sugar) to go, but poor choice for the obese diabetic patient

Rhogam

A

Rho(D) immunoglobulin. Anti-Rh IgG given to Rh(-) mom with Rh(+) fetus. Activates ITIM of Fcg receptor on B cells, inhibits BC response to fetal Rh on RBC’s. Given during pregnancy [in a fashion that prevents transfer across the placenta] and within 72h postpartum to prevent formation of memory BC’s/CD4T’s
