Drug Class: phencyclidine derivative (phen phen and Special K kill)
Mg/cc: 50 mg/cc
Dose: 0.2 mg/kg for analgesia, 2-4 mg/kg for induction
Onset: 30-60 (longest of the induction agents
Peak: 2-3 min (longest of the induction agents)
Duration: 60-90 (super slow to clear)

Sublimaze
Type: opiod
Generic: fentanyl
Drug Class: phenylpiperidine synthetic (pipe down and ill give you fent)
Mg/cc: 50mcg/cc
Dose: 25-100 mcg for analgesia, >100 mcg/kg for cardiac anesthetic
Onset: 15-30 sec (fastest possible)
Peak: 3-5 min (mid range peak of opiods)
Duration: 30-60 min (increases with increased doses), avg duration

Sufenta
Type: opiod
Generic: sufentanil
Drug Class: phenylpiperidine synthetic (same as fentanyl)
Mg/cc: 50 mcg/cc (same as fentanyl)
Dose: 0.2-0.6 mcg/kg as adjunct to inhalation anestesia (generic has an “i” in it instead of a “y”, so think inhalation), 8-30 mcg/kg for cardiac (much less than fent)
Onset: 15-30 sec (can’t be faster, same as fent)
Peak: 3-5 min (avg peak, same as fent)
Duration: 20-45 min in analgesia doses (faster than fent), duration increases with increased doses

Generic: morphine
Drug Class: phenanthrene alkaloid (rhymes with morphene, sooo basic)
Mg/cc: 1-15 mg/cc (only one w/ a range)
Dose: 2-15 mg adult (similar to mg/cc), 0.1 mg/kg peds
Onset: 30-60 (second fastest option)
Peak: 15-30 min (longest of opiods)
Duration: 3-4 hours (longest of opiods, usually ordered for q4)

Dilaudid
Type: opiod
Generic: hydromorphone
Drug Class: semi-synthetic phenanthrene (fake morphine)
Mg/cc: 1 or 2 mg/cc
Dose: 0.25-2 mg adults, 0.01-0.04 mg/kg peds
Onset: 30-60 sec (same as morphine, second fastest)
Peak: 3-5 min (fastest peak of opiods)
Duration: 2-3 hours (second longest of opiods)

Ultiva
Type: opiod
Generic: remifentanil
Drug Class: phenylpiperidine synthetic (all the fents)
Mg/cc: 1 or 2 mg vials for reconstitution
Dose: 0.05-2 mcg/kg/min
Onset: 15 sec (absolute fastest, no range)
Peak: 1 min (super fast, fastest peak of opiods)
Duration: 5-10 min (fastest duration of opiods, what sets it apart)

Anectine
Type: Depolarizing muscle relaxant
Generic: succinylcholine
Drug Class: depolarizer
Mg/cc: 20 mg/cc
Dose: 1-1.5 mg/kg for intubation (usually give ~100 succs on trauma)
Onset: 30-60 sec (fastest of muscle relaxants)
Peak: 1 min (fastest of muscle relaxants)
Duration: 3-5 min (fastest of muscle relaxants)

Nimbex
Type: Non-depolarizing muscle relaxant
Generic: cisatracurium (hardest to say)
Drug Class: benzylisoquinolinium (hardest to say)
Mg/cc: 2 mg/cc
Pre-Treatment: 1-2 mg (same as vec)
Dose: 0.1 mg/kg for intubation
Onset: 3-5 min (slowest of muscle relaxants)
Peak: 5-10 min (slowest of muscle relaxants)
Duration: 20-35 min (longest of muscle relaxants, same for all non-depolarizing)
SLOWEST ONSET, SLOWEST PEAK, LONGEST DURATION
Norcuron
Type: Non-depolarizing muscle relaxant
Generic: vecuronium
Drug Class: aminosteroid (vacuuming sounds like vec-amine)
Mg/cc: 1 mg/cc for reconstitution (duh we always reconstituted on trauma)
Pre-treatment: 1-2 mg/kg (same as Nimbex)
Dose: 0.1 mg/kg for intubation (usually give ~10 vec on trauma)
Onset: 3-5 (longest of muscle relaxants, same as Nimbex)
Peak: 5-10 min (slowest of muscle relaxants, same as Nimbex)
Duration: 20-35 min (longest, all non-depolarizing the same)
LONGEST ONSET, SLOWEST PEAK, LONGEST DURATION
Zemuron
Type: Non-depolarizing muscle relaxant
Generic: rocuronium
Drug Class: aminosteroid (it doesn’t rock to be vac-amine)
Mg/cc: 10 mg/cc
Pre-treatment: 5 mg
Dose: 0.6-1.2 mg/kg for intubation (1 mg/kg to intubate in 60 seconds)
Onset: 1-2 min (between fastest and slowest)
Peak: 3-5 min (between fastest and slowest)
Duration: 20-35 min (longest duration, non-depolarizing all the same)
AVG ONSET, AVG PEAK, LONGEST DURATION
Atropine
Type: Reversal agent
Generic: atropine
Drug Class: tertiary amine anticholinergic (tertiary= 3, 3 a’s: atropine, amine, anticholinergic)
Mg/cc: 0.4 mg/cc
Dose: 15-70 mcg/kg peds, 0.8-1.2 mgs with neostigmine adults
Onset: 15-30 sec (can’t be faster, fastest of all reversals)
Peak: 2 min (almost fastest reversal)
Duration: 1-2 hours (long side of reversals)
FASTES ONSET, FAST REVERSAL, LONG DURATION
Robinul
Type: Reversal agent
Generic: glycopyrrolate
Drug Class: quarternary ammonium anticholinesterase (ammonium= NH4, 4=”quarter”nary) (GQ magazine- glycopyrrolate +quarternary)
Mg/cc: 0.2 mg/cc
Dose: 10-20 mcg/kg
Onset: 1 min (no range, fast not fastest)
Peak: 5 min (no range, avg peak)
Duration: 2-4 hours (longest of reversals)
