Acetaminophen Adult
325-1000 mg
Albuterol Pediatric
1.25-2.5mg (3cc) nebulizer ( 3 doses max, call med control if not improving)
Aspirin (ADULT ONLY)
81mg chew tablets, 4 tablets (324mg total)
324-650 mg (pain) greater than 16 years old
Diphenhydramine (Adult)
25-50 mg PO
Diphenhydramine (Pediatric)
1mg/kg PO not for less than 3 mo. Cut to adult at 40kg (88#)
Epinephrine 1:1000 (Adult)
0.3-0.5mg; 1 mg mixed with 2ml normal Saline (nebulizer)
Up to 3 times after 5 min w/ no relief
Epinephrine 1:1,000 (pediatric)
0.01 mg/kg IM (max 0.3mg - cut off 66 #)
1 mg mixed with 2 ml normal Saline (nebulizer)
0.15 mg (less than 66#)
Oral Glucose (Adult)
One tube or packet, repeat based on blood glucose results and local protocol (15g)
Oral Glucose (Pediatric)
1/2 -1 tube or packet. Repeat based on blood glucose. Special consideration to ability to follow directions (7.5g)
Ibuprofen (Adult)
400-800 mg PO
Ibuprofen (Pediatric)
10 mg/kg PO. Do not use on children less than 6 months
Naloxone (Adult)
0.4-4mg IN, give half, wait, give the rest if not responding
Naloxone (Pediatric)
0.1mg/kg IN (max 2 mg-cutoff 41.8#)
Nitroglycerin (ADULT ONLY)
0.4mg SL every 5 minutes (max 3 doses, contact medical control if not improving)
Oxygen (Adult and Pediatric)
1-6liters/min nasal cannula
10-15 liters/min NRB
15 liters BVM, ETT, BIAD
8L nebulizer
