Contraventions for this type of suspension/ disqualification include the following:
- an immediate 30-day driver’s licence suspension
- a seven-day vehicle seizure
- $200 fine plus victim fine surcharge of 20 percent
Applies to drivers whose ability to operate a motor vehicle has been impaired by a physical or medical condition, or by drugs or alchohol. a 24 hour licence disqualification will be issued.

applies to all alchohol and/ or drugs and there is a zero tolerance approach for any alchohol and/ or drugs for novice drivers in the class 5 GDL licence category
