Open up the bonnet
Remove the dipstick
Wipe it clean of oil
Dip it back in
Levels should be between min and max
Add more if necessary
Clean dipstick
Dip back in and remove to check levels

Open up the bonnet
Check the level of coolant in the tank is between min and max
Add more if necessary

Brake fluid level should be between min and max in the brake fluid reservoir
Add more if necessary

Drive forward slightly
Press on brake
Shouldn’t feel spongy or slack
Car shouldn’t pull to one side

Info can be found in the car manual or on the door pillars on either the driver or passenger side
Check and adjust all tyres including spare when tyres are cold with an air pressure gauge
Refit valve caps afterwards

The rigid part of the restraint should be at least eye as high as your eyes or top of ears
Close to back of your head as possible
Adjust with a button at the base of it to move it up or down

Tread depth should be no less than 1.6mm across the central 3/4 of the breadth and you check this all the way around the tyre
No cuts or bulges

Walk around the car to see if the lights are on and working
