A

Yes. In the execution of your duty.

It’s high risk so recommended to travel about 30 when practical, ONLY exceed the limit when you have checked for all hazards.

Must prove it was when engaged in UDD and that you had lights and sirens going.

Must prove you were engaged in UDD and compliance with speed limit would limit execution of duty.
Prove you were operating lights or sirens or both.

A

Yes, only in the execution of your duty.

Because it is a high-risk manoeuvre it may be best to wait until after the no-passing lines.
Perform manoeuvre on slow or stationary traffic and only when way is clear.

A

May not undertake point pursuit unless a Gold class driver provides direct supervision, or exceptional circumstances apply.

Pursuit controllers to replace Silver class drivers with Gold drivers ASAP.
Silver class cannot drive vehicles needing specific training e.g. motorcycles.

What would you do?
What are your obligations?

A

Slow down to allow brakes to cool, check brakes again, if no improvement inform Comms that you have a vehicle fault and you cannot continue to drive it.

A

Find where the leak is coming from. If it is coming from the vehicle don’t use it, inform your supervisor, and have the oil removed from the floor.

A

“Red Mist” - makes you so determined to get to an incident in the shortest time, perhaps by catching up to the car in front, or overtaking another car, or so focused on thinking through the pending situation that you’re no longer capable of assessing your driving risk.

A

Drivers should be thoroughly familiar with the seating adjustments so they can establish best possible driving position, which is the one that allows maximum visibility, comfort, and access to controls.
