What is the definition of driving whilst unfit as per section 4 of the road traffic act 1998?
It is an offense to drive, attempt to drive or be in charge of a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road or other public place whilst unfit through drink or drugs
What is the definition of over the prescribed limit as per section 5 of the road traffic act 1998?
A person is guilty of an offense if they drive, attempt to drive or are in charge of a motor vehicle on a road or other public place after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in their breath, blood or urine exceeds the prescribed limit.
What major difference is there between section 4 and section 5 of the road traffic act?
Section 4 refers to mechanically propelled vehicles and section 5 refers to motor vehicles.
