Pictorial
A 3D drawing of an object as seen by an observer
Perspective
A pictorial style that uses vanishing points to scale for depth
Oblique
Drawing with parallel projection from a perpendicular front view
Cabinet oblique
Oblique drawing with projected axis length halved in length
Cavalier oblique
Oblique drawing with the projected axis length maintained.
Isometric
A 3D drawing with all horizontal lines at 30 degrees to the horizontal
Orthogonal
A 2D representation of an object from views that are at right angles to each other
3rd angle projection
Orthogonal drawing where each 2D view is located according to observer position relative to a stationary object. That is,the 2D view from the right Is on the right side of front view of the object
1st angle projection
Orthogonal drawing where each 2D view is located according to the object relative to the stationary viewer. For example, the right hand side 2D vie is what is seen by the stationary viewer relative to the object moved to the right hand side of the viewer
Fillet
A standardised rounding of an interior or exterior edge or corner of a part
Section view
A view that cuts away a section to expose otherwise hidden details
Detail drawing
A drawing containing details of a component usually belonging to an assembly
Assembly drawing
A drawing of assembled components usually providing summary detail
Finish
Specification for costing, surface treatments or painting of a component in a drawing
