Stock
a literary term used to describe the events that make up a story or the main part of a story. These events relate to each other in a pattern or a sequence. The structure of a novel depends on the organization of events in the plot of the story.
Plot
a serious disagreement or argument, typically a protracted one.
Conflict
a show or story with an overly dramatic characters and plot lines
Melodrama
Character that evolves, grows, or changes throughout the play, or more is discovered about the character

when nothing in the story is irrelevant, place things in the most effective order, advances central idea of the story. plot manipulation. an author who includes a turn in the plot that is unjustified by the situation or the characters

A sequence of incidents or events of which a story or play is composed
