A story that can be acted out in front of an audience
DRAMA
Divides the play into different parts and will usually have a different setting
ACTS & SCENES
The actors performing in a play
CAST
The lines the characters speak
DIALOGUE
When an author hints or mentions something that will happen later
FORESHADOW
The person telling the story and what is happening in the play
NARRATOR
The author of the play
PLAYWRIGHT
Objects used by an author in a plkay
PROPS
The written text of the play
SCRIPT
The place in the theater where the actors perform
STAGE
Tell the actors what to do or how to say a line. They also tell you more about the setting.
STAGE DIRECTIONS
Feeling of uncertainty about what may happen
SUSPENSE
A long speech spoken by one character
MONOLOGUE
A drama with funny content that always has a happy ending
COMEDY
A drama with serious content that always involves the downfall of the main character
