A message about life or human nature that the writer shares with the reader
Theme
A form of literature meant to be preformed by actors in front of an audience
Drama
The instructions to the actors, director, and stage crew; might suggest scenery, lighting, sound effect, and ways for actors to move and speak; often appear in parentheses and in italic type
Stage directions
Written conversation between two or more characters; in drama stories are told primarily through this
Dialogue
The major divisions within a play
Acts and scenes
A list of all the characters in the play, usually in the order of appearance
Cast of characters
An interruption of the action to present events that took place at an earlier time
Flash back
Any physical object that is used in drama
Prop
A painted backdrop or other structures used to create the setting for a play
Scenery
The text of a play
